Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe came from a multi-cultural family. She was born within South London. Her father is Nigerian Swiss as is her mom who's English. She grew in a south London council estate as a teenager, she 14she enrolled in The Brit School. She was a student at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London which she graduated with an BA in acting. She appeared on stage in numerous productions during her time at school such as the King Henry V, as Princess Katherine and Wuthering Heights, as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe began acting with Storm Damage. Since then, she has appeared as a guest in Teachers, Doctors, Casualty as well as Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's debut film came from that of the Woody Allen 2007 film Cassandra's Dream. She starred opposite Colin Farrell & Ewan MacGregor. After this success, Madekwe appeared as Elisha on the BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN and appeared for six seasons Trexx as well as Flipside. In 2008, the actress was offered Bambi as the main character in the ITV2 comedy Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe was a part of the 2008 comedy feature film How to Lose Friends & Affect People. A couple of her credits on stage include Little Sweet Thing (by Roy Williams) and Flight Path (by David Watson).
Madekwe was a part of Ashley Davenport in the ABC drama The Beautiful Life. The two-episode series aired for just 2 weeks at The CW and then it ended. In February, she was cast 2011 in the role of Ashley Davenport on the ABC drama Revenge. In late May 2013, it was revealed that Madekwe, who been a series regular in the past two seasons, was to leave the series following a guest appearance in the premiere episode of the season's new episode. The actress portrayed Tituba on the show Salem from 2014 until the year 2016. Madekwe, her longtime partner, Iddo, married Madekwe in June 2012. Apart from Secret Diary of a Call Girl They have also collaborated together on Salem and also he played a part alongside her in that show.
Ashley Leggat is a Gemini-nominated actor who was raised by a big family. Her parents were Roy and Patty Leggat. Her parents, Roy and Patty along with her four brothers, Brett, Todd, and Bram who were also present. Ashley was raised in the arenas and baseball parks because her four athletic brothers all played baseball, hockey, and both in the winter and summer. Ashley could not walk but danced. In the end, at the age of 2 when she was two, she began to learn about Baby Ballet. Ashley began to be a dancer following this. Ashley participated in the top divisions for jazz, tap hip-hop, ballet the lyrical musical theatre, acrobatics as well as pointe until the time she completed high school.
